Make them with fresh mangoes when they are in the season or use frozen mangoes. You will need a blender instead to juice them. Mangoes cannot be juiced in a juicer as it is fibrous and needs to be ground to extract the juice. This mango nectar is thicker than most other juices so adjust the water as per desired consistency. My mom would always add some tender coconut water to the blender while making mango juice. Tender coconut water is nature’s best thirst quenching and rehydrating drink available to us. If you do not have any of these simply use plain water. These ingredients won’t alter the flavor of your mango juice. Liquid: Coconut water, orange juice or lemon juice not only add more nutrition to your drink, will neutralize the heating properties of the mangoes and also helps your mango pulp thin down to a juice consistency. Without any liquid it turns to a smoothie texture. Plain water adds no nutrition or flavor to the juice. Mango is a pulpy fruit which requires more liquids when blended to juice. That’s how I made this with alphonso mango puree & then the juice later. You can freeze the mango pulp for a year and make your mango juice in minutes, all-round the year. Sweet and tart juice actually tastes delicious! If you feel your juice is diluted and flavorless, add more mango cubes. If your mangoes are too sweet, add a dash of lemon juice. When you want to make mango juice, add 4 to 5 mango cubes to a serving glass, pour 1 to 2 tbsps of simple syrup (or sugar as required) and top with some ice or water or coconut water. Later remove and transfer to a container or zip lock bag. Transfer to ice tray & freeze until firm. If you like to make mango juice all-round the year simply make your own mango puree by blending peeled mangoes and then straining it.
